Rosalie Hubert was a young unmarried woman who fell in love with her future husband just before the war began. Laurence Hubert served in the Navy on the battleship Intrepid. Fern Wirth moved from California to South Dakota to live with her in-laws. Rosalie Hubert and four other young women went to Kansas and worked on B-29 bombers."
