The advances of science have reached the “fields” of agriculture. From genetically altered cows to infrared soil testing to digitally identifying livestock – today’s farmers and ranchers no longer depend on the farmer’s almanac and Mother Nature to help them through the growing season. “South Dakota Focus” will take a closer look at some of these new scientific methods, what they mean for South Dakota and what the future holds.
