Carnegie Libraries

In the early part of the 20th century, Oil Magnate Andrew Carnegie provided money to build public libraries across the country. There were 25 built in South Dakota. Today, most of these buildings survive. Some are still libraries, some have other, somewhat unexpected uses. In this segment, Stephanie Rissler takes a look at some of the old Carnegie Libraries and their legacies.
