#1401 - Entire Show, Sept. 2011

Dakota Life - 09/01/2011

Big celebrations in small towns. Travel to Frederick in northern South Dakota for the state's only wife-carrying contest - one of the more popular attractions during the town's annual "Finnfest" celebration. Then it's on for quick stops at Czech Days in Tabor, Deadwood's "Days of '76", Yankton's annual tractor parade, and Sturgis' Bike Week Rally. See how the town of Philip celebrates it's pioneer past during "Scotty Philip Days" and check out Hansen Wheel and Wagon, a business still making horse-drawn carriages, stage coaches and wagons the old-fashioned way.
