Restored silent movie instrument demonstrated in Rapid City

Dakota Digest - 05/04/2012

A relic from the days of silent movies is meeting up with modern technology on the stage at the Dahl Arts Center in Rapid City. The Cremona photo player is an instrument used to provide music and sound effects for silent movies. Sensors inside the instrument record keystrokes and foot pedals to make a computer program. For today’s Dakota Digest, SDPB’s Victoria Wicks speaks with the two men who are working to make this happen.
